As a Christian artist, my work is not only a reflection of my faith, but also an act of worship towards a God who made me in his image. My art is a feeble attempt at capturing the magnificence and freedom I feel when I find my senses filled and overwhelmed with creation. I long to capture this on canvas through the sweeping movements of my brush and the tiny details that work together to make the grander picture. Yet it is only a small reflection of my God's creation. My God didn't just create the world for beauty and aesthetics, but also for functionality. Science and math, words and music pour forth their speech from what he created, and I can never reach the end of all there is to know about his masterpiece. Staring at his creation, my soul will never cease to soar with endless joy and wonder at every color in the sky and every speck in the sand.
